Plans Report Service

This notice is to advise of a recent change introduced by Registers of Scotland affecting their PLANS REPORTS SERVICE. The information we have received is noted in red below.

Registers of Scotland will apply a standard reduced fee for reports which “Cannot be Completed”. This will help RoS to ensure consistency in the processing of all reports and is in line with existing charges set out section 3.9 of their Terms and Conditions for reports service users.

RoS is committed to providing a high-quality service to our customers. A request will only be categorised as “Cannot be Completed” if we do not have enough information or the information provided is unsuitable. If this occurs we will provide you with detailed advice on what is required to complete your request. RoS also aims to support customers by consistently charging our lowest level of report fee (Level 1), even if your original request was for a more detailed report (Level 2 or Level 3).”

As part of the Plans Reports Service offered by First Scottish we do undertake a basic check of the submitted information before submitting to Registers of Scotland and we hope that this enhanced service will reduce the number of reports affected by the recent change.

We offer a plans report checklist which should help to ensure the correct information is submitted first time for your plans report.

This change will be introduced by First Scottish on Monday 22nd May.
